Privacy policy
This privacy policy explains how beautyscout processes personal data. Processing is carried out in line with the Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO).

2. Which data we process
Depending on use, we process the following data:
- Account/salon data: When registering a salon: name, email, salon details, opening hours, services.
- Booking data: When clients book an appointment: name, email and appointment details. This data belongs to the respective salon; beautyscout processes it on their behalf.
- Contact data: When you write to us by email, we process the information provided in order to answer your enquiry.
- Technical data: Server log files (e. g. IP address, time, page accessed) to ensure operation and security.
3. Purpose of processing
We process data in order to provide the service (appointment booking, calendar, client records), send confirmation and cancellation emails, answer enquiries and ensure secure, stable operation.
4. Hosting & data processors
Website, Anwendung und Datenbank werden bei der Hetzner Online GmbH in ISO-27001-zertifizierten Rechenzentren in der EU betrieben. Für E-Mails verwenden wir Swizzonic / Securemail (smtp.securemail.pro). Buchungs- und Kontodaten werden dabei an diese technischen Dienstleister übermittelt.
5. Disclosure to third parties
Data is only disclosed insofar as this is necessary to provide the service (e. g. to the data processors named above) or where there is a legal obligation. There is no sale of personal data.
6. Retention
We only retain data for as long as it is necessary for the stated purposes or due to legal obligations. Salons can export their data and have it deleted at any time.
7. Your rights
You have the right to information, correction, deletion and restriction of the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact info@beautyscout.ch.
8. Cookies
Für Anmeldung und Sprache verwenden wir lokale Speicherung. Für die eigene Nutzungsstatistik speichern wir Seitenpfad, Bereich, Ereignis, Zeitpunkt, gegebenenfalls Betriebskennung und Kampagnenquelle sowie eine zufällige Kennung pro Browser-Tab (sessionStorage). Diese Kennung ermöglicht die Zuordnung innerhalb einer Sitzung. IP-Adressen werden nicht in der Besuchsstatistik gespeichert; sie werden kurzzeitig für Missbrauchsschutz verarbeitet und können in technischen Server-Logs anfallen. Es werden keine Werbe-Cookies gesetzt.
